行人不忍多看两眼绿得发亮的枝头，顺便感叹着：这样短的春日，稍不留神就得溜走，可得多沐浴这和煦的阳光，嗅嗅这春草春叶的芬芳呢。

前两日图书馆临窗闲坐，随手取下叶芝的诗集，翻过后，最爱的依然是《当你老了》，耳畔也不禁回荡起这首诗改编的曲子。
只有深爱过，方才能将所思所感寄于诗歌，方能谱出最动人的乐章。叶芝又何尝不是这样？
初遇她时，他不过二十三，风华正盛的年纪，可他尚且还是个穷学生。而他爱的她呢？不仅仅美丽动人，更重要的是，她是一位女英雄，积极参与爱尔兰民族独立运动。
他的一往情深注定没有结果，他的思念与等待终究幻化作诗，幻化作天上的云霞，留待后人感叹惋惜。
夜深人静时，西窗独坐，点燃一支烛火。静静读上这首诗，该有多少回忆漫天，扑面而来，猝不及防地惹人洒下许多泪。
每个人都有故事，每段故事都有说不尽的离愁与别绪，缱绻的心事只与一个爱字相关。
或许是“山有木兮木有枝，心悦君兮君不知”，不知何时将情意安放，却无法觅得来时路；
或许是“十年生死两茫茫，不思量，自难忘”，一别便是天上与人间，她已逝，独留他断肠；
或许是“山无陵，天地合，乃敢与君绝”，许下爱的诺言，一世，一生；
或许是“庭有枇杷树，吾妻死之年所手植也，今已亭亭如盖矣”，睹物思人，只有无尽心酸独自尝。
而才华横溢如叶芝，他发自肺腑，道出了他对爱人灵魂的挚爱。“如花的容颜与青春的年纪是女孩子最大的资本，世上无数人爱着你的美貌，唯有我爱你超脱凡俗的心，爱你永恒的灵魂。”
多少人为之动容，因为有几人，在这蜉蝣般短暂的一生能觅得这种爱？

很多年后，杜拉斯的著作《情人》使用了类似的开场白：
“我已经老了。
有一天，在一处公共场所的大厅里，有一个男人向我走来，他主动介绍自己，他对我说：我认识你，永远记得你。 那时候，你还很年轻，人人都说你很美，现在，我是特地来告诉你，对我来说，我觉得现在你比年轻的时候更美，那时你是年轻女人，与你那时的面貌相比，我更爱你现在备受摧残的面容 。”
深入骨髓的爱，不因你年轻美丽，而是因为你本身的气质与魅力，即使白发苍苍，我依然爱着你。
想起了朱生豪写给宋清如的情书，其中有一句是：
“不要愁老之将至，你老了一定很可爱。而且，假如你老了十岁，我当然也同样老了十岁，世界也老了十岁，上帝也老了十岁，一切都是一样。”
多么可爱的情书呢！在爱面前，时光又算得了什么，即使老了，回忆一生有爱，有笑，有那么多美好的时刻，眼角泛出的泪光也是温暖的吧。

英文诗一般是讲究押韵的，尤其是每一句的结尾，这有点像中文平仄，但不是那么规则，因为英文单词的音节和汉字的音节大不相同，英文单词大多2个或2个以上音节，而汉字都是一个音节，所以当然是汉语更工整。
