在当今的社会中，无论国内还是国外，本书的故事都是极少数的反面案例。当今社会的爱情、亲情、友情有着多少感人的故事啊！它们都不是能以金钱来衡量的。人性和伦理提倡的是仁慈和关爱。虽然“天下熙熙，皆为利来”，“天下攘攘，皆为利往”。但是，人们需要把握和冲破内心重重的利益纷扰和诱惑，找准在宇宙中静观天地辽阔中的人生定位。

  这个故事的结局非常出乎我的意料。教会我天下没有免费的午餐这个道理。

  拥有猴爪的人可以任意许三个愿望。这童话故事般的开头却越读越让人深思。第一个许愿的人死了，第二个许愿的人妻儿全出车祸离世了。具体描写了第三个许愿人凄惨的全过程。

我想许的第一个愿望也是有钱。因为有钱我就可以完全支配自己的时间做自己喜欢的事。还可以让家人都和我一样过一个自由的人生。

第三个拥有猴爪的人许下的愿望是要一笔钱。一家人都想换个大房子

我以为愿望很快就会实现，开头一定是美好的。没想到他们许下愿望的那一刻原本宁静知足的生活马上就变得糟糕了。

一家三口开始抱怨现在的生活，一心等着那笔钱来让他们变得幸福。最后夫妻俩等来了那笔钱，是儿子在工厂意外死亡的赔偿金。

天下没有免费的午餐，知足才是幸福的秘诀。

《猴爪》讲述了怀特一家得到了朋友的猴爪，这个非同一般的猴爪能满足三个人每个人提出的三个愿望，但这三个愿望并不一定能带来幸福。可是，最终他们还是谨慎地许下了愿望。的确，他们得到了如愿的30000英镑，但这一切却以丧子之痛为代价。怀特一家陷入了一场可怕的噩梦。
不得不说，这是一幕悲剧!是猴爪的悲剧，它给拥有它的人带去了痛苦与后悔，扰乱了怀特一家原本平静如水的生活。可是，倘若怀特一家没有许下愿望，那么他们不是依旧过着清贫而又幸福的生活么?这是一场猴爪引起的悲剧，更人性的悲剧!当怀特一家面对清贫的生活而显得苍白无力时，想改变现实的主观意志和自身能力发生了激烈的碰撞，只能将美好的憧憬寄托于看似神奇的猴爪上，期待着“天上掉馅饼”的机遇。
这原本源于一个美好的愿望，最终却引发了一个可怕的噩梦，恰恰说明了“想改变现实并不一定是好事”，尤其是夸大地超乎现实。
猴爪的“魔力”让我想起，每当遇到大考时，很多学生都会抓紧最后一分一秒的复习时间，一边复习一遍牢骚不断，甚至妄想有过目不忘的超强记忆力，当然我也包括在内。我们总是希望超强记忆力能够帮助我们牢记每一个知识点，从而既避免了记忆之苦，又能让自己在考试中取得好成绩。这种“临时抱佛脚”的现象在学生群中屡见不鲜，而所谓的“超强记忆力”则罕见至极。
可是，世界上真的又拥有超强记忆力的人!当我从新闻中得知英国一少女拥有过目不忘的惊人记忆力时，我惊讶，嫉妒。心里还美美地幻想着如果我也像她一样记忆力如此之好，那么生活会变得多么轻松埃可是，我错了，那位少女整日脑袋里一遍又一遍地重现曾经发生的事情，痛苦、哀愁怎么都摆脱不掉，这样的生活让她苦不堪言。我哑然，更庆幸，因为我的大脑懂得舍弃。
原来，改变现实如此困难。现实，就像是人生的一盘棋，有固定的界限，无法任凭我们的主观意志肆意地改变现实，可是，棋子是可以在固定的界限里任由我们摆布的。我们可以改变自身的生活态度收起对现实的种种不满，以乐观向上的态度面对现实，学会知足常乐。但是，这并不意味着安于现状，我们仍要通过提高自身能力切实地点缀现实，完善现实，从而逐步改变现实。
如果我可以许三个愿望，那么我希望自己认清现实，赶上现实，超越现实。
